Vietnam Airlines is offering great prices on fares from Hanoi to destinations across the country. One-way economy fares start from VND860,000 (USD41) to Da Lat or Ho Chi Minh City, VND500,000 (USD24) to Da Nang, VND980,000 (USD47) to Hue, and VND1,550,000 (USD74) to Nha Trang. Fares do not include taxes or surcharges. This promotion is available until December 31, 2011.
Forget the long bus ride – Laos Airlines connects Vietnam to Vientiane, the capital city of Laos, for a competitive price. Can Tho (VCA), Vietnam’s newest airport, officially opened in earlier this month. Vietnam Airlines is offering flights from Can Tho to Hanoi, Phu Quoc Island, and Ho Chi Minh City with fares from VND500,000 (USD26). They also plan to add international destinations like Singapore, Taipei, and Bangkok in the near future.

Turkish Airlines recently announced that they will add a new route from Istanbul to Ho Chi Minh City. Service will commence December 29, 2010, and special introductory fares start from USD820.
Vietnam Airlines has added a new route to Yangon, Myanmar, and is celebrating with a special price. The introductory fare from Ho Chi Minh City to Yangon is currently priced from VND1,950,000 (USD100) for a round-trip flight excluding taxes and fees. This fare is applicable for flights from now until December 25, 2010.
